Catherine Cooper, The Golden Acorn – ISBN-978-0

Jack Brenin’s life changes the moment he finds a golden acorn lying in the grass. He gets caught up in an extraordinary magical adventure and enters a world he only believed existed in legend. He’s sure he’s been mistaken for someone else. How could he possibly be ‘The One’ an ancient prophecy speaks about, he’s neither brave nor strong? He’s no idea why he’s expected to help, unsure if he wants to, or even if he can.

If you like magic and adventure you’ll love The Golden Acorn. This is the first book in the Jack Brenin series by Children’s Author, Catherine Cooper. It’s a captivating magical fantasy adventure, which can be read on it’s own or as part of a continuing adventure; book 2 in the series is due out next year. It’s a race against time, magical adventure, suitable for any independent reader, young or old. It’s the kind of story you would feel confident sharing with your children or grandchildren.

The Golden Acorn is the first book in a series featuring The Adventures of Jack Brenin. The sequel, Glasruhen Gate, is almost complete and due out early next year. Book three is planned and four already partly written. I’ve also written two shorter books Hawke & Co and Hanging Gate Hall both of which are in the process of the final editing and once the illustrations are complete, one will hopefully be ready to be published before Christmas followed by the other in the New Year.
